English Dub Review: Classroom of the Elite “To work you have the right, but not to the fruits thereof.”

Overview:

It’s Valentine’s Day and the boys of Class C are excited about whether or not they will receive chocolates. Meanwhile, Karuizawa seems uneasy over Ayanokoji’s request to meet up, and while doing so an unexpected person appears…

Our Take:

I love a good Valentine’s Day anime episode, the way they celebrate it is always fascinating to me. In Japan, Valentine’s Day is a day when the girl gives chocolate to the guy she likes and then a month later on March 14th, also known as White Day, the boy reciprocates. Ayanokoji of course got some chocolate from Karuizawa, but at one point in the episode he had like five bags of chocolate but we’re never shown who gave those.

Valentine’s Day aside, there are a few things that look like it’s going to make life hard for Class C. Someone started spreading rumors about the class online and as you know high school rumors can be pretty brutal. One of their classmates was even accused of being a prostitute, Ayanokoji seems to take most things in stride that the rumor about him won’t be believed but I wonder how this is going to affect the class after they just started to work well together.
