Our Take

In this episode, Lexia and Luna take Yūya on a tour of the capital, with Owen providing additional protection. Luna unexpectedly decides to register herself and Yūya at the local Adventurer’s Guild, drawing attention due to Yūya’s exceptional magical capabilities.

During an herb-gathering quest with Yūya and the ladies, Reigar’s whereabouts are discovered, prompting Owen to ask for Yūya’s help in apprehending the treacherous prince. Reigar is captured alive, but their victory is short-lived as the Vile girl appears, revealing her manipulation of Reigar to incite a genocidal war. She attempts to kill everyone present, but Yūya uses his magic to deflect her attacks, causing her to retreat. Meanwhile, on Earth, Kaori tries in vain to visit Yūya.

Overall, up until this point, Yuya was independently hunting and fighting monsters without some reward or goal in mind, but this time around, it felt like the first episode of the season the way they spent half of it explaining how the same adventurers guild in every fantasy/adventure or isekai story out there while continuing the dynamic between Yuuya, Luna and the Princess. Aside from that, the scene when they’re cracking down on Reigar’s ass was a bit janky in terms of the way it was animated. Hopefully, the last episode of the season ends things on one hell of a high-note…
