SAFC Greenlights “Lesbian Space Princess” Adult Animated Film
It’s organizations like SAFC based in Australia that have helped current producers of Smiling Friends, Psychotown, and Doomlands to be discovered by American networks and producers and its only going to get better. Check out this new animated comedy film called Lesbian Space Princess which is the latest film to get greenlit by the SAFC written and directed by Emma Hough Hobbs and Leela Varghese and produced by Tom Phillips (We Made A Thing Studios).
The film is slated to go into production in June 2023 and will premiere at the Adelaide Film Festival in 2024. Here’s the synopsis for the film:
An anxious space princess is thrust out of her sheltered life and into a galactic quest to save her bounty hunter ex-girlfriend from the Straight White Maliens. Along the way, a problematic spaceship and a runaway gay-pop idol join her hazardous encounters with blade-wielding maniacs, dangerous dick turrets and the scariest thing of all: her own self-doubt.

There's got to be some kind of twist that's going to happen with this. I don't know if they're setting up an April Fool's joke now or what's going on, but it seems too strange that they'd suddenly reverse on doing a fourth and fifth season after the show was already renewed and they were even just talking about working on those seasons like a couple months ago or something. Or maybe the two episodes yet to release will secretly somehow each be like a "season" in themselves?
