English Dub Review: Trigun Stampede “Noman’s Land”
Overview:
Meryl and Roberto chase after Vash the Stampede.
Our Take:
I have to make a little bit of a confession first before going into this review. I have never seen the original Trigun, at least not yet. I know it’s a sin as a huge anime fan to have not seen that one because a lot of people have told me it’s one of the best. Not only that but it is where Johnny Yong Bosch got his voiceover start if I’m not mistaken. The only reason I decided to review this was that he was coming back as Vash. At first, they were saying they were going to do an all-new cast (almost everyone is recast) but Johnny at least is back.
Some people may be upset with the animation style and I’ll be honest I like 2D animation more than 3D as much as the next guy but there is something special about this. Okay, I lied about Johnny being the only reason I wanted to review this. The other was that I saw a scene from the first episode and it looked so good I knew I had to watch it. If the only thing holding you back from watching this is the animation style then take the leap friend. It looks amazing, Johnny is back, and this is in line to follow the manga more closely. People are also upset with how Vash looks but I have seen way worse re-imaginings. Anime getting a second shot at life has mostly worked out up until now with how successful Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood and Fruits Basket were. So, let’s buckle up for what I think will be a fun ride.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
