Our Take

This time around, Kongming books another gig for Eiko at a local festival, but since she’s still a newbie performer in this particular field, she has to perform on a small stage adjacent to the main stage with a popular act called “Jet Jacket” performing at the same time “much like she did previously” that predictably also draws more competition.

After the big twist of what he pulled off involving his now established “36 Strategems”, I was expecting Kongming to get into a physical fight, but that wasn’t the case at all when he showed how well-versed he is in psychological warfare, and Jet Jacket’s problems are solved and showed humility to the band leader. As the band said themselves, they started out at that festival on the same stage Eiko did years back.

The show remains fun as hell, but there’s also some underlying heavy stuff there whenever it delves into Kongming’s past. Every day seems like a new challenge for Eiko so she should be more prepared in the future. In the end, they showed an important-looking businessman. But whoever this dude is, it seems like Eiko will be having her debut on a bigger stage after this.
