English Dub Review: How a Realist Hero Rebuilt the Kingdom “A Man without Learning Is Unwise; a Man without Wisdom Is a Fool”
Overview:
An unusual Friedonian slave trader named Ginger Camus gave his slaves clean clothes and enough to eat, as well as providing them with an education, little knowing that this would eventually end up rocking the kingdom.
Our Take:
This episode was mostly Souma free. I had a feeling that the slave trader Ginger would become involved in one of Souma’s plans eventually since he was getting all of the focus. Souma was wanting people who knew how to read and write and it just so happens that Ginger was teaching his slaves just that.
Souma was taking what he knew about our own world and knowing that outright abolishing slavery could cause a war. He’s trying a different way and it seems like that might work. It was also nice to see that there was some romance that didn’t have to involve Souma. This episode was mostly setting up what comes next I imagine so we will see what happens when Souma implements his latest plan.

There's got to be some kind of twist that's going to happen with this. I don't know if they're setting up an April Fool's joke now or what's going on, but it seems too strange that they'd suddenly reverse on doing a fourth and fifth season after the show was already renewed and they were even just talking about working on those seasons like a couple months ago or something. Or maybe the two episodes yet to release will secretly somehow each be like a "season" in themselves?
