Animated Drama “Charlotte” Gets Stellar Cast In Lead Roles For English Adaptation

They don’t have baseball yet, but set to premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival is a brand-new animated drama entitled Charlotte. The project inspired by the autobiographical painting series “Life? or Theatre?” by Charlotte Salomon will feature English language voice contributions from Keira Knightley, Brenda Blethyn, Jim Broadbent, Sam Claflin, Henry Czerny, Eddie Marsan,  Helen McCrory, Sophie Okonedo, and Mark Strong.

According to Deadline who has broken the story,  Eric Warin and Tahir Rana direct the true story of Charlotte Salomon, a young German-Jewish artist who comes of age on the eve of the Second World War and defies incredible odds to create a timeless masterpiece. The feature is written by Erik Rutherford and David Bezmozgis. Watch a clip here.
