We Called It! Rooster Teeth Produced gen: Lock Season Two To Premiere On HBO MAX
That’s right folks, it’s the beginning of the end of the Rooster Teeth subscription service, just you wait. HBO MAX has announced that the streaming service slated to debut March of 2020 will have the second season of gen : Lock starring/produced by Michael B. Jordan and produced by Rooster Teeth Studios.
Existing FIRST subscribers will get the show 90 days after it premieres on HBO MAX, and then freebie subscribers presumably afterward.
Fifty years in the future, an oppressive authoritarian force threatens to conquer the world. A daring team is recruited to pilot a new form of weaponized neuroscience that powers devastating mecha, but they must be willing to sacrifice everything to save the world. The half-hour series stars Michael B. Jordan (who is also a producer) as well as Dakota Fanning, Maisie Williams, Kōichi Yamadera, Golshifteh Farahani, Asia Kate Dillon, and David Tennant. Here is our review of the show’s first season.
But yea, we called this like four months ago.

There's got to be some kind of twist that's going to happen with this. I don't know if they're setting up an April Fool's joke now or what's going on, but it seems too strange that they'd suddenly reverse on doing a fourth and fifth season after the show was already renewed and they were even just talking about working on those seasons like a couple months ago or something. Or maybe the two episodes yet to release will secretly somehow each be like a "season" in themselves?
