WILL NBC EVER GET BACK INTO THE PRIME-TIME ANIMATION BIZ??
A year ago we wrote an article about Greg Daniels(The Office) exec-producing TWO animated series‘ for NBC, one with Mindy Kaling the other with Alan Yang. Well according to Deadline.com, Alan and Greg recently got a show bought but it wasn’t the animated series and from the sounds of the article that project might even be dead which makes me wonder if NBC will ever get back into the prime time animation biz.
One would think some competition for FOX(having been the only constant network broadcaster of prime time animation sitcoms for quite some time) would be a good thing and while the big four of nets (CBS, FOX, NBC, and ABC) have all tried most shows barely get off the ground or last more that a few episode with the most recent example of this being The Goode Family. Would YOU like to see NBC get serious with toons or do you think they should stay out?? Sound off below and let us know what you think!
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
