Paramount+ Greenlights Seasons 3 and 4 for Avatar: Seven Havens
Benders and fans of the Avatar universe have plenty of reasons to celebrate. During its explosive spotlight panel at New York Comic Con, Paramount+ announced a major early vote of confidence for the franchise, officially renewing Avatar: Seven Havens for a third and fourth season (Books 3 and 4).
The announcement arrived on October 9, 2026—the exact same day the series debuted its first three episodes on Paramount+.
Securing the Long-Term Vision
Originally given a 26-episode order split evenly into two 13-episode seasons (styled traditionally as “Books”), Avatar: Seven Havens has quickly established itself as a critical darling. Book 1, titled Survival, rolled out weekly batches through October, captivating audiences with its fresh post-apocalyptic narrative, deep lore, and rich character dynamics.
This rare multi-season renewal guarantees that creators and writers will have the security to map out their serialized vision across four full Books without facing the piecemeal renewals or abrupt scheduling hurdles that historically plagued past entries like The Legend of Korra.
Expanding the Avatar Universe
The massive news didn’t stop at Seven Havens. During the same NYCC presentation—moderated by the original voice of Korra, Janet Varney—Avatar Studios also pulled back the curtain on an entirely new expansion to the franchise: Avatar Kuruk: Wave of Chaos.
The upcoming series will travel backward in time to focus on Kuruk, the waterbending Avatar who preceded Avatar Kyoshi in the cycle, offering fans an even deeper dive into the rich history of the Avatar lineage alongside a first look at Kuruk and his companion, Nikik.
With Avatar: Seven Havens locked in through four seasons and fresh projects joining the pipeline, the future of the Avatar universe on Paramount+ has never looked brighter.
