Kevin Hart’s Animated Comedy ‘Lil Kev’ Moves to Paramount+ for Season 2

Kevin Hart’s semi-autobiographical adult animated series Lil Kev is jumping to a new streaming home for its second season. Paramount+ has officially picked up the show, announcing that all 10 episodes of Season 2 will drop on Wednesday, December 9.

Originally premiering on BET+, the comedy series continues to draw inspiration from Hart’s real-life childhood growing up in 1990s North Philadelphia.

High Stakes in North Philly: What’s Next in Season 2?

Set in 1993, Lil Kev centers on 12-year-old Kev, whose boundless ambition and overactive imagination fuel a constant stream of neighborhood hustles and schoolyard schemes. Raising him is his fiercely protective mother, Nancy, alongside a chaotic family ecosystem that includes his recovering father Henry, cynical older brother Robert, and ex-con uncle Richard Jr.

While Season 1 established Kev’s knack for spinning community chaos into comedy, Season 2 raises the stakes significantly. Kev’s usually unflappable optimism meets a major roadblock when a impulsive outburst against authority lands him in the juvenile justice system. The storyline forces Kev to navigate an adult world he isn’t prepared for, testing his resilience and family bonds.
