Netflix has officially expanded its adult animation lineup, releasing brand-new trailers, story details, and star-studded voice cast announcements for three of its most anticipated animated projects: the return of CD Projekt Red and Studio Trigger’s Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2, LeSean Thomas’s steampunk sci-fi Western Bass X Machina, and the critically acclaimed, award-winning Blue Eye Samurai Season 2.

Here is everything revealed in Netflix’s latest showcase.

Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 — Premiere Date, New Trailer & Voice Cast

Following the massive critical and fan success of the original 2022 anime, Netflix, CD Projekt Red, and Studio TRIGGER are returning to Night City with Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2.

Directed by Kai Ikarashi (SSSS.Gridman, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners) and showrun by Hugo Award winner Bartosz Sztybor, the 10-episode series promises a raw, grounded story centered on redemption and revenge.

Bass X Machina — Steampunk Frontier Justice

Created and executive produced by LeSean Thomas (Yasuke, Cannon Busters) with animation by Studio Mir (The Legend of Korra, Devil May Cry), Bass X Machina reimagines legendary U.S. Deputy Marshal Bass Reeves in a lawless, steampunk-drenched Wild West overrun by outlaws and mechanical monsters.

The newly released trailer showcases high-octane battles—including Bass taking on a towering mechanical Minotaur in a frontier town—set against an original theme song, “Honor Killing,” contributed by Janelle Monáe.

Main Voice Cast:

  • Brian Tyree Henry as Bass Reeves

  • Janelle Monáe as Glory

  • Tati Gabrielle as Dana

  • Cree Summer as Ahni

  • Chaske Spencer as Lighthorse

  • Currie Graham as Rivenbark

  • Starletta DuPois as Etta

Blue Eye Samurai Season 2 — Mizu Heads to London

Created by Amber Noizumi and Michael Green, the Emmy Award-winning series Blue Eye Samurai returns for its second chapter. Season 2 takes warrior Mizu on a quest across the globe to London, while political turmoil brews back in Japan under Edo’s new Shogun.

Mizu’s quest for vengeance takes her overseas to London, introducing new allies and international adversaries. Back in Japan, Akemi and Taigen must navigate the dangerous political climate of Edo Castle.

Maya Erskine returns as Mizu. Netflix confirmed three new major voice actors joining the cast for Season 2. Creators have confirmed that the overarching narrative arc for Mizu is planned as a three-season trilogy.
