Our Take
Picking up from the previous episode, the Dem-Dol Games continue with Team Devimuse drawing attention from nearly everyone in the Netherworld. Ameri reluctantly joins the competition, only to discover that being “cute” is part of the challenge. Naturally, she approaches it in her own way and quickly becomes one of the episode’s biggest highlights. Meanwhile, the reactions from the spectators are just as entertaining, with Opera, Balam, and especially Kalego providing plenty of laughs. Lied also gets a hilarious moment during the tail tug-of-war when things don’t go quite as he expected.
The rest of the proceedings continue to deliver plenty of comedy by embracing just how wacky & ridiculous the Dem-Dol Games can be. Ameri’s serious athleticism makes her a great contrast to the other contestants, while Iruma’s involvement gives the competition another layer of fun. Azz and Clara’s enthusiastic support, Eiko’s reactions, and Kalego’s growing disbelief all add to the charm. It’s another episode where the cast’s personalities make even the simplest events entertaining.
Overall, this was easily one of the funniest episodes of the season, with the Dem-Dol Games providing plenty of absurd situations and great character moments. Ameri is a particular standout, but the reactions from everyone watching may be even more entertaining than the competition itself. There’s also plenty of comedy packed into the ending, so be sure to stay after the credits for two fun comedy bits.
