Animated Horror-Comedy ‘Doomsweepers’ Unveiled
A fresh animated horror-comedy titled Doomsweepers has officially been revealed, bringing an irreverent, supernatural spin to the workplace comedy genre.
The upcoming project pairs high-concept creature features with the mundane realities of gig-economy blue-collar work, carving out a unique space in the growing adult animation pipeline.
Hazard Pay for the Paranormal
Doomsweepers follows an underpaid, overqualified team of sanitation workers who specialize in cleaning up the horrific, bloody aftermath left behind by apocalyptic battles, demonic incursions, and rogue supernatural entities.
While superhero teams and occult investigators get all the glory for defeating world-ending threats, the “Doomsweepers” are the ones forced to scrub the ectoplasm off the walls, dispose of cursed artifacts, and manage hazardous dimensional waste—all while trying to avoid getting dragged into the Netherworld themselves before their shift ends.
The core narrative balances creature-of-the-week monster designs with a grounded character dynamic, spoofing modern corporate bureaucracy, gig-work exploitation, and classic 1980s creature-feature tropes.
