English Dub Review: Oshi no Ko “Plan”
Overview:
Aqua has to face the aftermath of his decision to reveal Ai’s secret.
Our Take(Spoilers):
I was wondering how Ruby would react to Aqua revealing their secret. She was not a fan, it turns out. Going so far as to say that Aquo and her are no longer family. I felt bad for Miyako, who felt that all of them were family, and Aqua brushed it off. He told her that she’s their agent and that’s where the relationship ends. I forgot how much of a dick Aqua could be.
We finally got our first look at what Hikaru is up to nowadays. Hikaru is who we’re assuming is the Hoshino twins’ father and the mastermind of their mother’s death. When a movie telling the true story of Ai’s murder is greenlit, the actress Yura Katayose is asked to play Ai. She is later killed while hiking in the mountains by Hikaru. How ironic that he was responsible for the death of Ai and the actress who might play her in a film.
Hikaru is voiced by Austin Tindle, and I think it’s the perfect casting choice. He’s no stranger to voicing unhinged characters, and if this episode is anything to go by, I think we can safely say that Hikaru is nothing if not unhinged.
