English Dub Review: Hell Mode: The Hardcore Gamer Dominates in Another World With Garbage Balancing “Outward Bound”

Overview:

The baron wishes to observe Allen’s boar hunts firsthand. If he’s impressed, there may even be a reward, one that could change both Allen and his family’s lives forever.

Our Take:

Allen started to do the math and realized it was going to take a long time to get enough gold coins for his whole family to become commoners. Instead, he tries to go the easier route by getting the baron to gift them commoner status. By showing how valuable everyone is in the boar hunts, he gets his wish. They took down three boars in one day, so I would imagine that hitting their quota will be no trouble at all. I do feel like his math was off. If you get three in a day, why would it take a month or more to get twenty?

I truly thought there was going to be some tragic event that happened to Allen and his family, so I was glad that wasn’t the case, not yet anyway. Depending on how you look at it, I suppose what happens could be viewed as a tragedy of sorts. Allen is going to live with the baron and be a manservant, which isn’t as bad as it sounds, I guess. The baron’s daughter seems to hate Allen, but I got five dollars on her falling in love with him after a while.
