Golden Cobras and Local Laughs: Pigeon Laughs Comedy Festival Returns to Chapter for 2026
The Cardiff comedy scene is bracing for a takeover as the Pigeon Laughs Comedy Festival officially returns to Chapter Arts Centre this March. This year’s installment is shaping up to be the festival’s most ambitious yet, anchored by an exclusive premiere and deep-dive discussion surrounding one of the most talked-about cult hits in recent years: Golden Cobra.
The Main Event: Golden Cobra Season 2
The crown jewel of the 2026 festival is the Season 2 premiere of Golden Cobra. Fans of the first season—which blended surrealist humor with a gritty, hyper-stylized aesthetic—have been waiting nearly two years for the continuation of the saga.
Following an exclusive screening of the first two episodes of the new season, the festival will host a live Q&A and discussion panel featuring the creators and lead cast members. The session promises to peel back the curtain on the show’s unique production style, its “lo-fi” visual effects, and the improvisational techniques that have made it a standout in the independent comedy circuit.

There's got to be some kind of twist that's going to happen with this. I don't know if they're setting up an April Fool's joke now or what's going on, but it seems too strange that they'd suddenly reverse on doing a fourth and fifth season after the show was already renewed and they were even just talking about working on those seasons like a couple months ago or something. Or maybe the two episodes yet to release will secretly somehow each be like a "season" in themselves?
