English Dub Review: You Can’t Be in a Rom-Com with Your Childhood Friends! “Kept Running and Missed the Fireworks? Since It Matters Too Much, It Still Won’t Start a Rom-Com”
Overview:
Shio tells Eiyu she can’t make the fireworks. Haru makes her first appearance.
Our Take(Spoilers):
We have four episodes left, and we’re just now seeing the final girl. Haru makes her appearance, and it’s hard not to feel like she and Runa got screwed. Runa got introduced a couple of episodes ago, but she’s barely been in it since then. It feels like some characters have gotten extra time, and for a show that’s probably only going to get one season, that’s upsetting. Sure, Akari has been my favorite, but if someone enjoys Haru or Runa, I could see them being upset.
Speaking of the two main girls, Shio and Akari, I had a feeling that something would happen so that Eiyu would spend time with both of them. It was funny that he caught Akari trying to practice kissing on a mask, and it was kind of nice to see her actions have some negative consequences for once. When she ran away from Eiyu, screaming that he was a pervert, he was tackled by some people trying to help her. When they realized it was an argument between friends, they let Eiyu go, but maybe now she knows she can’t run around saying stuff like that.

There's got to be some kind of twist that's going to happen with this. I don't know if they're setting up an April Fool's joke now or what's going on, but it seems too strange that they'd suddenly reverse on doing a fourth and fifth season after the show was already renewed and they were even just talking about working on those seasons like a couple months ago or something. Or maybe the two episodes yet to release will secretly somehow each be like a "season" in themselves?
