Picking up from the previous episode, Flum is now relentlessly pursued through the city by the douchey Dein and his forces. Cornered and forced into a desperate situation, she risks everything to protect an innocent bystander, revealing both the limits and the strange resilience of her mysterious ability. The confrontation is abruptly disrupted when a high-ranking knight, Ottilie, arrives and turns the tide, exposing cracks within the kingdom’s power structure and hinting that the corruption surrounding the Church and the city’s leadership runs deeper than previously believed.

The rest of the proceedings help further emphasize Flum’s unusual moral compass. She isn’t a conventional hero driven by forgiveness, nor is she consumed by vengeance; instead, she walks a pragmatic line between compassion and ruthless self-defense. Her willingness to protect the vulnerable while showing little mercy toward those who repeatedly choose cruelty gives the series a darker, more grounded tone than many fantasy stories.
