English Dub Review: Anyway, I’m Falling in Love with You “Something I’ve Been Meaning to Say”

Overview:

Shuugo and Mizuho spend their day together in Enoshima. Will Shuugo finally confess or end with regret?

Our Take:

I understand that being friends with Mizuho has been the status quo for Shuugo. But he has to decide if he’s okay with not being with her and seeing her with someone else. I know I’m not saying anything new here, but watching him is getting frustrating. He goes through the trouble of taking her out, acting like they’re a couple in some ways, and then Kizuki shows up at her house, and now he gets cold feet? He put his arm around Mizuho in front of Kizuki, but then moments later tells himself that he doesn’t want to lose Mizuho’s friendship and decides not to confess to her.

We only have a couple of episodes left. I would normally say that I can’t see how this one wraps things up, but this story has had a lot of unsatisfying things for me. Shuugo got his chance, and I think Shin is gonna get his opportunity in the next episode. Though it seems like that will be because Mizuho’s dad is being rushed to the hospital. But with Shin having told her father that he would marry her, I think we’ll see that brought up again.
