BloodStream Unveils “Animation Abomination”: A New Streaming Home for Indie Horror
In a move to champion the darker, experimental corners of the animation world, horror streaming platform BloodStream has officially announced “Animation Abomination.” This newly curated program is dedicated to adult-oriented, independent animated horror and is set to debut on March 20, 2026.
As traditional streaming giants often lean toward family-friendly content or established franchises, BloodStream is positioning itself as a vital alternative for creators working outside the conventional studio system.
Bill Kopp’s Anarchic Return
The headliner of the program is the exclusive streaming premiere of “The Dumb Bunny & Jack Ass Show,” a new series from Emmy-winning veteran Bill Kopp (Eek! The Cat, The Shnookums & Meat Funny Cartoon Show).
Developed entirely independently to bypass industry gatekeepers, the series uses a classic Saturday-morning cartoon aesthetic to deliver a “hyper-violent” cocktail of slapstick and underground satire. In addition to the new show, BloodStream will also host rare, early independent works from Kopp’s career.
A Diverse Lineup of Experimental Talent
“Animation Abomination” isn’t just a showcase for veterans; it serves as a bridge between established industry voices and emerging experimental filmmakers. The collection spans various mediums, including hand-drawn 2D, stop-motion, and digital hybrid workflows.
The initial lineup features a haunting array of creators and titles:
-
Valerie Barnhart: Girl in the Hallway
-
Christiane Cegavske: Blood and Sunflowers
-
Hugo Docking: A collection of shorts including Mr. Vapey Man, To the Brink, and Gagging For It
-
Peter Ahern: Buzzkill and Down to the Bone
-
Christopher MacFarlane: Clink Clank Clink
-
Lorenz Wunderle: Coyote
-
Anna and Alex Liakos: Karate Babes in Outer Space and Amateur Night
A Haven for “Un-institutionalized” Animation
The program’s strength lies in its commitment to “un-institutionalized” animation—films often produced without the safety net of broadcaster backing or institutional financing. By emphasizing raw draftsmanship and tactile fabrication, BloodStream aims to preserve the artistic edge of the horror genre that is frequently lost in mainstream production.
BloodStream has confirmed that “Animation Abomination” will be an ongoing initiative, with plans to expand the collection and add new independent shorts and series on a regular basis.
“Animation Abomination” begins streaming on BloodStream on March 20, 2026.

There's got to be some kind of twist that's going to happen with this. I don't know if they're setting up an April Fool's joke now or what's going on, but it seems too strange that they'd suddenly reverse on doing a fourth and fifth season after the show was already renewed and they were even just talking about working on those seasons like a couple months ago or something. Or maybe the two episodes yet to release will secretly somehow each be like a "season" in themselves?
