The update comes as part of a larger expansion for the Rick and Morty universe. Adult Swim recently doubled down on its commitment to the series, officially renewing it through Season 12.

The show was previously under a massive 70-episode order that would have taken it through Season 10. This new extension ensures that Rick and Morty will remain a cornerstone of the network’s lineup for years to come, solidifying its place as one of the longest-running original animated series in Adult Swim history.

Hail to the Chief: The “President Curtis” Spinoff

In addition to the main series update, the network revealed a major surprise: the first official Rick and Morty spinoff titled “President Curtis.” The series will star Keith David, reprising his fan-favorite role as the ego-driven, highly capable, and often chaotic President of the United States. Created by Dan Harmon and James Siciliano, the spinoff will move the spotlight away from Rick Sanchez to focus on the daily White House adventures—and extraterrestrial crises—managed by Curtis.

The spinoff boasts an impressive voice cast, including:
