Baki-Dou English Dub Trailer Posts Ahead Of Premiere
The battle for the title of “Strongest” is about to reach a lethal new level. On February 4, 2026, Netflix officially released the high-octane trailer for BAKI-DOU: The Invincible Samurai, the latest chapter in the long-running martial arts saga.
The new series, which picks up immediately after the world-shaking “father-son showdown” between Baki and Yujiro Hanma, is set to premiere globally on February 26, 2026.
Sword vs. Fist: The Resurrection of a Legend
The trailer reveals a plot that is as high-concept as fans have come to expect from creator Keisuke Itagaki. Following his victory, Baki Hanma finds himself consumed by a crushing boredom—until a secret scientific project 364 meters beneath the Tokyo Skytree changes everything. Using advanced cloning technology and ancient spirit-summoning, the project successfully resurrects Miyamoto Musashi, Japan’s most legendary historical swordsman.
Unlike previous arcs that focused on hand-to-hand combat, Baki-Dou introduces a “weapons-permitted” rule in the underground arena. The trailer showcases Musashi—described as the “ultimate symbol of strength”—clashing with series staples like Doppo Orochi, Goki Shibukawa, and Sea King Retsu.
A Star-Studded English Cast
In a surprise move for the franchise, the English dub features a unique blend of veteran voice actors and internet personalities.
-
Troy Baker returns as the voice of Baki Hanma.
-
SungWon Cho (ProZD) voices the legendary Musashi Miyamoto.
-
The supporting cast and cameos include The Miz, Matt Mercer, Nolan Hansen, Lena Lemon, and even a guest appearance by Charles White Jr. (better known as Cr1tikal/MoistCr1TiKaL).
Production and Music
The series is produced by TMS Entertainment, the studio responsible for the previous Baki and Baki Hanma Netflix runs, with Toshiki Hirano returning to direct.
The soundtrack is equally intense, featuring a high-energy opening theme titled “FURUBOKO” by the rock band WANIMA, and an ending theme titled “Mountain Top” by Novel Core. According to the artists, the music was designed to reflect the “loneliness of the strongest” and the thinning air at the summit of martial arts.
Release Details
Netflix has confirmed that BAKI-DOU: The Invincible Samurai will consist of 13 episodes, all of which will be available to stream simultaneously on launch day. As the trailer promises, this “battle of eras” will finally determine whether modern mixed martial arts can withstand the lethal, god-like strength of the invincible samurai.

"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
