English Dub Review: Trigun Stargaze “Unforgiven”; “Memento Mori”
Overview:
When their home is attacked, Vash is the last hope for Brad, Jessica, and the others.
The immediate threat is suppressed, but now there is no doubt that the threat from Knives is still real.
Our Take(Spoilers):
I’m glad that we didn’t have to spend too much time with Vash being out of it. We’re introduced to a little girl named Jessica, and I don’t know how she knows Vash so well, but seeing her in danger snapped him out of whatever he had going on. I want to talk about Jessica a bit because I’m hoping she’s a character that we see more of. She’s voiced by Amber May, and I thought she sounded familiar. She voices Mari in With You, Our Love Will Make It Through I hope she gets more roles because she does a fantastic job.
The main reason I’m glad that Vash is back is that I’ve gone too long without hearing Johnny Yong Bosch in anything recently. Vash was one of his first anime roles, and I don’t know why, but it’s a role uniquely meant for him in my eyes. Vash is such a well-meaning individual, and I can’t explain how JYB brings that out in his voice, but he does.
My favorite part about these two episodes is that the whole gang is back together now. Vash, Meryl, Milly, and Wolfwood are all together. The characters are the main reason to watch this show, and with them all being in one place and interacting together I’m very excited for the rest of the season.

There's got to be some kind of twist that's going to happen with this. I don't know if they're setting up an April Fool's joke now or what's going on, but it seems too strange that they'd suddenly reverse on doing a fourth and fifth season after the show was already renewed and they were even just talking about working on those seasons like a couple months ago or something. Or maybe the two episodes yet to release will secretly somehow each be like a "season" in themselves?
