The English Dubbed Adaptation Of “The Dangers in My Heart: The Movie” Hits U.S. Theaters on February 18
The long wait will soon be over for rom-com fans following news from AMC Networks’ HIDIVE. The popular anime streamer revealed today its plans for the U.S. theatrical release of The Dangers in My Heart: The Movie this February, which will coincide at the same time as the film’s Japanese release — a rarity for anime movies and special opportunity seldom offered to U.S. fans. This eagerly anticipated new movie based on the beloved hit rom-com series The Dangers in My Heart will screen on February 18, in English dub, and be available in 10 select U.S. cities as part of HIDIVE’s limited theatrical engagement; namely, Atlanta, Philadelphia, Dallas, Houston, Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, New York and Fairfax, Va. Fan excitement has been building for The Dangers in My Heart: The Movie ever since the film’s special sneak peek panel co-hosted by HIDIVE and TV Asahi last July at Anime Expo 2025. Combining a compilation of Seasons 1 & 2 of the series together with brand new animation sequences, The Dangers in My Heart: The Movie provides a continuation of the love story between the series’ main characters Kyotaro and Anna. Ticketing information is available here. Advance tickets will be available for purchase starting January 23.
Synopsis:
Kyotaro Ichikawa is a painfully awkward middle school boy deep in the throes of eighth-grader syndrome, spending his days obsessed reading morbid books like The Encyclopedia of Murder and anatomical diagrams.
His quiet, isolated world is suddenly turned upside down when Anna Yamada, the classroom star, unexpectedly steps into his life.
Whether she’s casually eating rice balls in the library, humming to herself, or suddenly closing the distance between them, Yamada’s unpredictable behavior leaves Ichikawa constantly off balance. And before he knows it, she is occupying his every day thoughts.
As they spend more time together, Yamada too begins to find herself drawn to Ichikawa in ways she never expected. It’s the first time either of them has truly understood what it means to “like” someone.
Through misunderstandings and clumsy, heartfelt emotions, the distance between them slowly, but surely, begins to close.
The Dangers in My Heart anime series is adapted from the long-running manga title written and illustrated by Norio Sakurai and published by AKITASHOTEN, which first launched in March 2018 and currently encompasses 13 volumes. The series is directed by Hiroaki Akagi together with writing by Jukki Hanada, character design by Masato Katsumata and production by Shin-Ei Animation. The Dangers in My Heart stars Shun Horie as Kyotaro Ichikawa and Hina Yomiya as Anna Yamada.

"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
