Glitch Productions, Ross O’Donovan Join Forces On Animated Full-Series Release of “GAMEOVERSE”

Glitch Productions is honoured to unveil its collaboration with esteemed YouTube personality and showrunner, director and writer Ross O’Donovan (RubberRoss) alongside writer Arin Hanson (Co-Founder, Game Grumps) for the development and full-series release of the 2D animated series, with the pilot releasing in May 2026. GAMEOVERSE is an animated series about VIDEO GAME WORLDS!!!… Horrifically exploding. And saving them means helping the bad guy stop the good guy, or everyone dies.

GAMEOVERSE features a standout voice cast spanning both animation and YouTube fame including Erica Lindbeck (Helluvaboss, Smiling Friends) as Kit, JSchlatt (YouTuber/Streamer) as Kaboodle, Chris Sabat (Dragon Ball Z) as Warrick, Arin Hanson (Game Grumps) as Gobbles/Flappers, Elsie Lovelock (Hazbin Hotel, Murder Drones) as Ms Information and Michael Cusack (Co-Creator, Smiling Friends) as Snappers at the forefront of the series. Also featuring an original score from composers Grant Kirkhope (Banjo Kazooie, Goldeneye 007) and Jake Kaufman (Shovel Knight, Shantae), the soundtrack perfectly blends themes of nostalgia with unease.

Ross O’Donovan’s career spans multiple online projects including popular animated series Newgrounds under internet alias RubberNinja, a 7-Year stint on the vastly popular YouTube channel Game Grumps and a personal streaming (456K+ on Twitch) and YouTube presence that boasts over 2.3 million followers and 267 million views with the alias now under RubberRoss. First ideated in 2015, GAMEOVERSE has become a multi-year passion project that in collaboration with Glitch Productions, will be brought to life under the full authentic vision of its creator.

“In 2015 I started putting together the plans for what would be Gameoverse. Over those 11 years I put together many versions of what this show could be. Luckily, Kevin and Luke while visiting LA managed to see one of them in 2017. There were many times we spoke about the potential of working together, but it always came down to one thing. This had to be a 2D show. When Glitch approached me again about doing this show with them and it being 2D, it was a no brainer.
