English Dub Review: Gachiakuta “Watchmen Series”
Overview
Zodyl reveals his plan to reach the Sphere, and the other Cleaners react to their current circumstances.
Our Take
Picking up from the previous episode, this chapter of Gachiakuta deepens the tension by centering on Zodyl’s unhinged ambitions and his revelations about the Watchman Series, clarifying how certain vital instruments originated while hinting at a much larger purpose behind them. His explanation brings Rudo’s past into sharper focus, especially the significance of the gloves Regto gave him, raising new questions about how deeply Regto was involved in these hidden events.
Character reactions fuel the chapter’s momentum as Rudo’s confusion contrasts with the cleaners’ shock, turning instantly into battle-ready enthusiasm, while Dear and Bro finally step forward with standout moments that blend humor, instinct, and raw power. Their dynamic injects levity and intensity just as major revelations about the Watchman Series and Zodyl’s intentions unfold, and the sudden discovery that the group has been inside a massive trash beast all along heightens both tension and excitement…
Overall, this episode serves as a transitional yet engaging installment that ties together scattered plot threads, deepens the mystery surrounding Regto and the Watchman Series, and reinforces the character chemistry that drives the story, all while setting the stage for the next burst of action; despite its slower pacing, it blends emerging lore, world-building, and subtle character moments with a careful buildup of tension, maintaining momentum and suspense without offering major plot resolutions and instead positioning both cleaners and raiders for an impending high-stakes conflict.

There's got to be some kind of twist that's going to happen with this. I don't know if they're setting up an April Fool's joke now or what's going on, but it seems too strange that they'd suddenly reverse on doing a fourth and fifth season after the show was already renewed and they were even just talking about working on those seasons like a couple months ago or something. Or maybe the two episodes yet to release will secretly somehow each be like a "season" in themselves?
