English Dub Review: Gachiakuta “Time Attack”
An unstoppable force Vs an Immovable Douchebag
Overview
The Cleaners attempt to stop their “runaway train,” but Bundus stands in the way.
Our Take
Picking up from the previous episode, Rudo, Enjin, and the rest of the team regroups during the chaos, immediately establishing tension through fractured positioning and clashing priorities. Characters like Bundus, Riyo, Dear, and Bro all contribute to a sense of pressure as plans collide and tempers flare, while Enjin’s calm competence contrasts sharply with Rudo’s frustration. Even without revealing outcomes, the episode leans heavily on momentum movement through hostile terrain, brief confrontations, and the sense that everyone is reacting rather than fully in control.
What truly stands out is how the episode balances spectacle with personality. Rudo’s creativity, Enjin’s confidence, and Riyo’s sharp reactions all get moments to shine, giving the conflict a strong sense of identity rather than just noise. Even when the pacing briefly slows, the atmosphere and audiovisual punch keep things engaging, making this feel like a payoff for long-building anticipation rather than another stopgap installment.
Overall, this episode feels like a turning point, yet packed with energy, reasserting Gachiakuta’s potential through explosive action, creative power usage, and standout animation. By focusing on spectacle and character presence rather than major revelations, it restores excitement and sets expectations for escalating conflicts ahead, making it one of the season’s most memorable entries so far. However, I’m left scratching my head on a big plot hole regarding the Cleaners. I know they’re supposed to be authority figures, but can somebody please just explain to me why the Cleaners are against going to the Sphere through the trash monster? Is it the possibility that they can die crossing the borders, or is it something else? None of this is properly explained. And with three episodes left, I doubt they’ll give us a proper answer.

There's got to be some kind of twist that's going to happen with this. I don't know if they're setting up an April Fool's joke now or what's going on, but it seems too strange that they'd suddenly reverse on doing a fourth and fifth season after the show was already renewed and they were even just talking about working on those seasons like a couple months ago or something. Or maybe the two episodes yet to release will secretly somehow each be like a "season" in themselves?
