Review: Krapopolis “Bobageddon”

Shlub wants boba and mobilizes an army; Tyrannis prepares for his demigod ceremony on Mount Olympus.

Our Take

One might think that Shlub putting together an army to defeat a small city for the simple and laughable purpose of taking over a country’s supply of boba is a little much but I friggin’ love boba refreshers at Starbucks and I totally get where Shlub is coming from. By the way, I’m loving the fact that Krapoplis is deploying a serial element to the series whereby Shlub becoming king wasn’t just an episodic thing and instead looks to be a real thing that the producers are going to continue to cultivate during the course of the season and I’m totally here for it.

Moreover, it makes Tyrannus more interesting dealing with him not being king anymore and the ramifications of those decisions and what it means for him. It’s an interesting way for Krapopolis too kick off the show’s third season that was led off by an episode written by the show’s runner and I’m really enjoying where this season is going thus far because now it seems like there’s a good amount of weight on the show that maybe we really didn’t have before.

This one’s getting fun.
