English Dub Review: 2.5 Dimensional Seduction “This Wonderful World”

Overview:

Okumura and Ririsa are alone together for once, but that doesn’t mean it’s now a date, right?

Our Take:

I’m glad that this show got a second season because I’ve started to enjoy these characters and where they’re progressing. I think it’s interesting that both Okumura and Ririsa are beginning to realize that they might think of each other as more than just friends. Ririsa even gets jealous when another Liliel shows up and seems to be latching onto Okumura. This other Liliel is from another country, so I don’t think she will be competition for Ririsa, per se, but she seems like an interesting character to introduce for them to have no relevance later.

The fact that both of them think that their current outing is potentially a date is telling. Okumura saying that while he still loves 2-D girls more, he could see himself meeting in the middle lets me know that he’s starting to see her in a romantic way. That’s a bit sad for me since I want him to go the childhood friend route, but I’m not surprised; the main girl wins nine out of ten times. I think we only got one more episode left, and I’m looking forward to i,t and I’m not as sad as I normally would be since I know we got a second season.
