English Dub Review: 2.5 Dimensional Seduction “Manga Club On the Beach”

Overview:

Okumura realizes he needs to understand his friends more, and what better place to do so than at the beach?

Our Take:

There are a few things to cover for this episode, and I’ll save my favorite for last. On the way to the beach, Aria notices that Mikarin might have a crush on Okumura. But that would be crazy because she’s a famous model, so why would she like him? Between previous events and getting paired with Okumura on a test of courage, she realizes she might have feelings for him. So I think it’s safe to say that she gets it. But there’s still at least one person who doesn’t have feelings for Okumura, but I think that will change eventually. Mikarin is relieved that it seems that Noa doesn’t have feelings for Okumura, but that will change, I imagine.

What won’t change is the fact that Mikarin has feelings for Okumura, and we got a pretty serious development in that aspect. It was pretty clear to Ririsa that something was wrong with Mikarin, and she decided to ask her about it. This episode ends with Mikarin telling Ririsa that she’s in love with Okumura. I’m hopeful that the next episode touches on this, and I’m not getting faked out because when that happens, it’s disappointing.
