English Dub Review: My Dress-Up Darling “So We’re Gonna Do It All Right Now?!”

Overview:

Marin slightly misunderstands, and Wakana has his first playthrough of “Coffin.”

Our Take:

Marin thought that Gojo’s “I don’t plan on sleeping tonight” comment meant that he was planning on having sex with her. I understand that Gojo is a guy but I don’t think he would skip all the steps and go straight to banging. But we were all teenagers once and I can see how there might be a misunderstanding.

I’ve been into playing horror games lately so I can see how playing “Coffin” freaked Gojo out. It was night and he was all alone in a semi-uncomfortable situation. But there are bigger issues to worry about in relation to this episode.

Marin wants to stop living with the thought of not knowing where she stands with Gojo. She is determined to tell him how she feels after the upcoming group cosplay. As someone who has watched a lot of rom-com anime I’m not going to hold my breath on that actually happening. If she does manage to confess I am curious how it will go. She worries that Gojo isn’t into her because of how quickly he denies them being a couple when with friends. But that’s because he believes that she’s out of his league and doesn’t want to be a problem. So, if she confesses to him I wonder how he will take it.
