Review: South Park “Got A Nut”
Overview
When Mr. Mackey loses his job, he desperately tries to find a new way to make a living.
Our Take
And that living is working for ICE under the tutelage of a Kristi Noem who constantly shoots puppies, gives rousing speeches, and going after brown people in heaven, all over South Park, and even heaven. President Trump returns with his lover Satan and this time he’s got his little buddy JD Vance and we also get a tour of Mar-A-Lago that has a room featuring Clyde Donovan. It doesn’t take long before Noem even scares the shit out of Trump and Mackey is offered a promotion. What’s Clyde doing there you ask? Turns out he and Eric Cartman are competing podcasters doing their best to sling conspiracy theories just so they can also “make their nut”.
Matt Stone and Trey Parker have only delivered two episodes of the 27th episode of South Park, but boy they are serving up targets like a carnival duck hunt and getting the perfect score every time they take a shot. We also get a good number of returns of South Park characters we haven’t seen in a while that previously were in big episodes such as the local banker, the aforementioned Clyde, and HOLY SHIT WAS THAT Krypto?? Where the hell did he come from?
Yep, so those complaining that South Park only goes after conservative target, they just claimed their first progressive target in the form of Superman’s fluffy sidekick as Matt and Trey clearly were not big fans of the latest Superman film and that wasn’t going to matter for me anyway because I wasn’t going to see that piece-of-shit anyway. What I will continue to see is every episode of South Park that walks through that Paramount+ door this way I can tune in week in and week out and see where Kristi Noem’s melting face ends up next.
The unfortunate thing for every other animated comedy dropping new episodes this year, and there have been some good ones, is that South Park has reemerged as the most dangerous show in the world again and they’ve still got eight more episodes to go. I could’ve used a bit tighter of a delivery on the Cartman/Clyde B-plot,but overall, this show is continuing to give us a largely flawless season 27.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
