English Dub Review: Go! Go! Loser Ranger! “The One and Only Fighter D”

Overview

Fighter D decides to cooperate with the Ranger Force temporarily to corner Deathmecia.

Our Take

Picking up from the previous episode, the season finale brings together nearly every major faction for one last stand. Tensions between humans, monsters, and rogue forces reach a boiling point, forcing unlikely alliances to emerge under mounting pressure. Emotional stakes run high, especially for a few key characters who finally step out from the shadows of their predecessors and grapple with their own identities, loyalties, and sense of purpose.

The action hits hard and fast, sometimes too fast for its good. While the battles deliver spectacle and character moments in equal measure, the pacing undercuts what could’ve been more impactful reveals and emotional beats. Some arcs that needed time to breathe are instead crammed into rapid montages, making it difficult to appreciate the complexity beneath the chaos. Still, the character dynamics—especially the ones that evolve through mutual respect and shared trauma—remain a high point.

Overall, this season swings for the fences with ambitious themes, deeper lore, and large-scale confrontations, but it often falters under the weight of its own story. Still, the series manages to retain its heart, inventive worldbuilding, and a unique identity that keeps longtime fans engaged. Whether or not a third season comes to fruition, the groundwork for one is there, and the show continues to carve out a bold, if uneven, space in the sentai-inspired genre.
