English Dub Review: Flower and Asura “Scripts and a Pancake”
Overview:
The club members decide on what category they will each compete in at the Kyoto NHK Cup preliminaries: recitation or announcing. Toga will not enter either category.
Our Take:
Based on the promotional art and other such things, you would think that Mizuki is the co-lead of the series. But she’s been fairly absent in the last couple of episodes. She’s been in them, sure, but for the most part, she’s been a background character. I’m not mad at it, and I think it might lead to building her character a little more. It was interesting to me, is all.
One thing I have to figure out is whether the way the recitations and announcements are presented is annoying to me. The second someone starts to read out loud, there’s a gust of wind, and the person listening starts to imagine they’re somewhere else. It’s almost like whatever they’re listening to is the greatest thing they’ve ever heard, and it can be a bit silly.
Hana experienced a bit of jealousy when she heard the story of how Mizuki recruited Matsuyuki. She was jealous because it was similar to how Mizuki convinced her to join the club, and she no longer felt “special” as it were.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
