English Dub Review: 2.5 Dimensional Seduction “I’ll Keep Evolving”

Overview:

Ririsa and Nonoa have cleared up their misunderstanding and are now friends. While memories of her middle school experiences linger, Nonoa is determined to move forward.

Our Take:

I had a lot of conflicting feelings in this episode. I was proud of Nonoa for getting out of her comfort zone and having a conversation with Ririsa. It was also nice of Nagomi to stand up for Ririsa to Nonoa when she thought there was a fight happening. But I also felt bad for Nonoa because she finally came out of her shell and asked Ririsa to hang out, but her time with Ririsa was interrupted by newcomer Aria.

Aria is your classic gyaru beauty and she’s an extrovert as well so Nonoa was right to be concerned about her. Everyone has different reasons for wanting to cosplay and I am looking forward to seeing Aria’s reasons but I felt bad for Nonoa that her time in the spotlight was (seemingly) cut short.

I understand that this is considered a harem show, but I have to say it’s a bit refreshing that two of the girls so far don’t seem to be into Okumura. I can’t see Nonoa becoming interested in him, and while it’s only the first appearance of Aria, I can’t imagine she will suddenly fall in love. But this is that type of show, so who knows what could happen. I’m enjoying the fact that he has some female friends who aren’t in love with him for a little bit right now, though.
