Charlie Kirk Clearly Doesn’t Get South Park
Following a new South Park episode that mocked him, right-wing podcaster Charlie Kirk has attempted to co-opt the satire and convince his fans that the show is actually on his side. The move comes after the White House had previously declared the series “irrelevant” in response to an earlier episode that satirized President Trump.
The episode, titled “Got a Nut,” ridiculed Kirk by portraying a character, Clyde Donovan and then eventually Eric Cartman, who become a right-wing podcasters in order to “get his nut,” a term the show uses for making money. The show suggests that Kirk’s persona is a stolen and slightly more polished version of Eric Cartman’s own hateful ideologies. It portrays the “incel industry” that Kirk is a part of as being more motivated by financial gain than genuine belief.
Despite the episode’s clear mockery, Kirk live-tweeted the broadcast as if it were a form of support. He even changed his Twitter profile picture to a version of Cartman with his distinct haircut, attempting to lean into the parody. The article notes that while Kirk may be able to spin the satire as a form of support to his followers, other figures mocked in the same episode, such as Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem, will have a more difficult time doing the same.

"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
