Our Take

When it comes to the discovery of porn, nothing beats(see what I did there?) when Quagmire discovers internet porn but really Family Guy has had more bits about the porn industry than just about anybody. From sinking porn to the bottom of the river (a bit that would later be re-used in Seth MacFarlane’s Ted 2) and Peter’s iconic secret room, Family Guy has had more than it’s fair share of porn jokes and there are plenty more here.

Not only is Mark Twain being in modern times funny because it’s a legendary writer discovering porn, but also Brian publishes Huckleberry Finn for the first time and takes credit as the actor so naturally everybody gets offended and Brian gets cancelled, yet again. In fact, cancel culture has jumped the shark so much in Quahog, the local news has a whole dedicated segment for it.

This week’s episode of Family Guy is really one of the more ridiculous episodes the show has done. The Julius Sharpe-written episode pushes a lot of buttons most notably those of Bud Light and one of the biggest marketing blunders in modern history. Forget about the fact that the rules of time travel post Avengers: Endgame is completely in the blender here because you’re about to get a montage that’s going to montage your socks off. Family Guy wraps it’s latest season on a high note and we’ll be back next week to give it one last send-off.
