Genndy Tartakovsky Champions Hand-Drawn Animation with Raunchy Comedy “Fixed”
Animation legend Genndy Tartakovsky, the visionary behind beloved shows like Dexter’s Laboratory, Samurai Jack, and Primal, is back with a decidedly adult animated feature, Fixed. This gloriously raunchy R-rated comedy, set to premiere on Netflix on August 13, 2025, has Tartakovsky passionately discussing his commitment to hand-drawn animation and the film’s audacious humor.
While Tartakovsky is well-known for his work that appeals to a broader audience, Fixed is explicitly aimed at adults. Netflix’s official synopsis describes it as an adult animated comedy, promising audiences a wild and unrestrained ride.
The film boasts a talented voice cast including Adam Devine as Bull, alongside Kathryn Hahn and Idris Elba. The screenplay is co-written by Tartakovsky and Jon Vitti, with a story by Tartakovsky, Vitti, Steve Greenberg, and Rich Lufrano.

There's got to be some kind of twist that's going to happen with this. I don't know if they're setting up an April Fool's joke now or what's going on, but it seems too strange that they'd suddenly reverse on doing a fourth and fifth season after the show was already renewed and they were even just talking about working on those seasons like a couple months ago or something. Or maybe the two episodes yet to release will secretly somehow each be like a "season" in themselves?
