Review: Bob’s Burgers “The Lost City of Atlantic”
Overview
The Belchers have a wild night at a casino and Linda learns about her grandfather.
Our Take
You may think I’m here for the kids finding a quarter and spending most of the episode looking for a slot machine. You may think I’m here for Linda finding a few long-lost relatives working at the local casino. But, I’m absolutely here because of Bob consuming seven slices of prime-rib whilst waiting for his family to do what they have to do. Dan Fybel, you son-of-a-bitch, you’ve done it again.
Our final episode for the month of June 2025 is here and with it comes a love letter to another New Jersey past-time, gambling at Atlantic City. For those that didn’t grow up in New Jersey like myself, going to the casinos of Atlantic City was the boomer’s answer to Las Vegas and is just as integral as the boardwalks, the traffic, and food and the producers of Bob’s Burgers really did this one right. Shout out to Chris Song for really capturing the dank-ness of Atlantic City casinos noting that it’s really not like Las Vegas casinos with glitz and glamour.
Overall, this week’s episode of Bob’s Burgers was anything but lost. The premise finds itself right quick and splits off into three fun bits that may or may not lead to bigger family reunions in the future for the Belchers. It’s usually pretty nice when the family gets away from the restaurant and is able to skedaddle a bit and when it happens, we get great results like this.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
