English Dub Review: I’ve Been Killing Slimes For 300 Years And Maxed Out My Level “We Went Swimming in the Sea”

Overview

Azusa takes her family to the ocean, where they meet a jellyfish spirit who also happens to be a painter.

Our Take

This time around, we get an episode that kicks off with the characters enjoying a much-anticipated beach trip to escape the cold weather. However, their fun is briefly interrupted by a jellyfish problem in the water. They meet a mysterious traveling artist whose unique and somewhat eerie artwork leaves a strong impression on everyone. With her help, they manage to find a solution to the problem, and it’s a fun montage.

The rest of the proceedings take a surprising turn as the group embarks on an unexpected adventure linked to the artist’s paintings. They explore strange ruins and meet new, intriguing characters who bring a mix of mystery and humor mixed into the lighthearted moments with a sense of curiosity and suspense.

Overall, this was a decent episode that blended charming character moments with hints of mystery and exploration. And the transition into a mysterious kingdom plot adds intrigue. While it starts as a typical beach episode, it smartly evolves into something deeper and more adventurous, promising even stranger developments to come. And with the way it ended, it leaves me wanting to see where it goes next!
