English Dub Review: Bye Bye, Earth “Hymn: Erewhon”

Overview:

Belle finds new strength within herself. Sherry’s choice shakes Gaff to the core.

Our Take:

When it comes to an anime like this, I have to wonder what it’s like to lend your voice to it. I can only imagine that some of the VAs involved have said, “I have to say what now?” and ask for help on what it means. Directing this show is also probably a fun thing to do because I imagine they tell them that they have no clue as well. I wonder if anyone other than the author knows what’s going on in this series. I’m going to have to look up the author and do some research on them.

Here are the things that utterly confused me in this episode. There is a bird creature that is seemingly a god, but it also has a face that looks like Belle’s. There was some sort of god child that, you guessed it, looked like Belle. But not only is that weird on it’s own but Adonis stabbed it through the chest and merged with it and now it looks pretty much the same but is dressed all in black. The rabbit guy got stabbed with three swords but is seemingly fine. Shelly sang Beethoven’s Ode to Joy for some reason. Though I have to admit that made the fight scene badass. Belle caught a glimpse of what looked like a modern city, so hopefully answers will come soon.
