Crunchyroll Drops Cast and Crew for English Dub of Highly Anticipated Gachiakuta Anime with Same-Day Release
Exciting news for fans eagerly awaiting the anime adaptation of the dark fantasy manga Gachiakuta! Crunchyroll has just announced the English dub cast and crew for the series, and the best part? It’s set to premiere on the platform with a same-day release alongside the original Japanese broadcast. This means international audiences won’t have to wait to experience the gritty world and compelling characters of Gachiakuta in English.
Based on the critically acclaimed manga by Kei Urana, Gachiakuta plunges viewers into a harsh world where the impoverished live in squalor, casting their unwanted belongings into a massive abyss known as the Pit. Among them is Rudo, who ekes out a living while bearing the unjust accusation of murdering his foster father. When he’s suddenly cast into the Pit himself, Rudo discovers a terrifying world teeming with monstrous creatures born from the discarded waste – and he realizes the truth behind the accusations might be far more complex than he ever imagined.
Fumihiko Suganuma (DRAGON QUEST The Adventure of Dai episode director) directs Gachiakuta at studio bones film, with series composition by Hiroshi Seko (DAN DA DAN) and character designs/chief animation direction by Satoshi Ishino (Godzilla Singular Point). Kei Urana created the original manga in collaboration with graffiti artist Hideyoshi Ando.
Crunchyroll’s announcement has revealed a talented lineup of voice actors and production staff who will be bringing the English dub of Gachiakuta to life:
- Rudo voiced by Bryson Baugus
- Enjin voiced by Christopher Wehkamp
- Zanka voiced by Corey Wilder
- Riyo voiced by Katie Caruso
- Jabber voiced by Zeno Robinson
- Regto voiced by John Burgmeier
Gachiakuta has already garnered significant attention for its compelling narrative, striking visuals, and unique world-building.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
