Review: Grimsburg “Crystal Ball”
Overview
When Flute goes for surgery to have a second testicle put in, he finds an unexpected side effect.
Our Take
The unexpected side effect is that Flute’s new crystal nut, when kicked, can provide glimpses of the future which is one of the funniest ideas for a premise that I think I’ve heard in a while. The producers do a great job of really going to town on the silliness that could happen and we even get an Otis(Martin Short) cameo for the first time in months so this week’s episode had a lot going on.
We also get a slight B-plot where Summers and Pentos are mistaken as top-notch surgical doctors that kind of seemed like a throwaway idea at first but then I really enjoyed how the writers made everything full circle during the climax of the episode. Add in the hilarious Grey’s Anatomy jokes and what I thought was going to be a slightly annoying B-plot actually turned into a fun bit that helped wrap the story.
Overall, a very strong episode of Grimsburg that should keep fans of the show busy until May 29th when the series returns with more new episodes, and if we get more like this, I’m going to be really looking for that season 3 renewal announcement sooner rather than later.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
