English Dub Review: The Beginning After the End “Saved by the King”
Overview
While trying to make his way home, Arthur encounters a group of bandits who’ve captured an elf girl.
Our Take
Picking up from the previous episode, Arthur’s journey takes an unexpected turn when he encounters someone in need which just so happens to be an Elf Girl named Tessia prompting him to step away from his main objective. Though initially reluctant, circumstances push him to offer help, leading to a slow but meaningful trek through unfamiliar territory. As they travel, Arthur faces not only external challenges but also internal struggles that test his patience and endurance.
The rest of the proceedings lean heavily on quiet interactions and gradual relationship development, emphasizing the contrast between Arthur’s focused mindset and the unpredictability of the world around him. Subtle moments hint at larger mysteries, with the environment and fleeting character expressions suggesting more than what’s said aloud. Despite the slower pace, the atmosphere keeps a consistent sense of unease and curiosity.
Overall, this episode deepens Arthur’s character by showing him protect and guide someone in need, while also expanding the world through new faces and the mysterious teleportation portal to Elenoir. The bond forming between Arthur and Tessia adds emotional weight, and the journey hints at both challenges and alliances to come, making for a compelling, action-filled chapter that keeps the focus on their evolving relationship without giving away too much. And with the way the episode ended post-credits, I’m left wondering what will happen next!
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
