English Dub Review: Black Butler -Emerald Witch Arc- “His Butler, Descending”

Overview:

While Sebastian and Snake are off investigating the Emerald Castle behind Wolfram’s back, a werewolf attacks.

Our Take:

Look, I know they’re going to tell you that a werewolf attacked Ciel and Finnian. But to my eyes, it looked like someone wearing wolf skins. I’m fresh off reading the Red Rising series, so maybe I have wolf cloaks on the brain, but that’s what it looked like to me. But then we got to see Sullivan go down under the castle with Wolfram, and it looked like there were immobile werewolves down there where she was casting a spell.

Perhaps the werewolves down below were stuffed or if my theory is right they’re costumes on a rack like how Batman hangs his costumes. I don’t want Sullivan and her castle of helpers to be bad guys but it’s not looking good. One of the ladies that works in the castle smelled like a werewolf to Snake’s umm… snake.

The Queen is starting to get worried about Ciel, or the mission at least. She sent her aid John Brown with a message and he found Sebastian. I know that this is a supernatural series but passing messages from England to Germany this quickly is a little surprising. Let’s hope he brings good news because Ciel isn’t getting much better.
