English Dub Review: Plus-Sized Elf “The Baron’s Dog and the Floating Pig”
Overview
Elfuda shows Naoe the entrance to the alternate dimension where she entered his world. Then, it’s back to running, but too much exertion can lead to injury!
Our Take
This time around, Tomoatsu and Elfuda head out for a jog in the park, which unexpectedly turns into an eventful day. Along the way, they meet a new face with a unique connection to both worlds, and their casual outing takes a turn toward helping others with fitness goals. From light stretching to surprise transformations, their run-in at the park sets the tone for another quirky episode.
Later, the focus shifts to the local gym, where exercise takes center stage—specifically swimming. There, Tomoatsu meets someone new who’s determined to improve their health despite some unexpected setbacks. The episode blends humor with fitness antics and continues the show’s playful theme of characters working on improving themselves in unconventional ways. We also learn that the portal Elfuda used not only requires a certain amount of weight to be lost, but also Mana needs to be involved (which is magical energy in most fantasy fiction at this point).
Overall, this episode keeps things playful and energetic, with just enough new character development to keep things fresh. While it leans into its signature fan-service-heavy style, the themes of self-improvement and friendship remain intact. The light fantasy setting, paired with modern-day fitness culture, continues to deliver charm while keeping everything an easygoing watch. The real question now is, who will be introduced next?
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
