English Dub Review: Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? “(War Game) The Great Faction Battle”
Overview:
Freya declares a War Game against the Hestia Familia. The terms are simple: if Freya wins, Bell will be hers. But if she loses? She will return to Heaven.
Our Take:
You might wonder why I would start this article out booing the episode. Well, that’s because (as of now at least) Ais and the Loki Familia won’t be joining the war game. This got me thinking that this anime might be the first to purposely sideline its main heroine. If you sit and think about it, when was the last time Ais participated in the narrative? She’s been a plot device for Bell, and I’m disappointed she won’t be joining the war game. I hope that, for some reason, she finds a way to get in the action because that has become my main frustration with a series that I truly love.
Having said that, I love how some members of the Loki Familia helped train some of the Hestia Familia. Bell wasn’t allowed to train with Ais, but others pitched in, and I loved that Finn gave Lily tactical advice. With Lily being the head tactician of the war game, it falls to her to form a plan that will lead them to victory, but Bell has something to tell her we didn’t get to hear. Could someone be planning to betray the Hestia Familia?
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
