English Dub Review: Medalist “Taiyaki and Cake”
Overview:
Tsukasa decides to enter Inori into the Meikoh Cup to build up her record of success. When Inori feels shy dancing in front of others, Tsukasa gets her to dance in his shadow to conquer her nerves. During skating practice, Inori also meets a girl named Miké at the rink.
Our Take:
Cute anime girls doing cute anime things could be a genre all on its own. Not always is the animation so beautiful as well. I learned a long time ago that I would watch an anime about pretty much anything. I’ve watched an anime about competitive ballroom dancing, making a dictionary, and libraries that go to war with each other. As long as the animation is good and the characters are interesting I’ll give it a shot. Now I can add competitive ice skating to the list and so far I’m loving this show.
Inori is such a cute and earnest girl, she truly loves to skate and wants to be the best she can be. After meeting a girl named Mike she might have found another friend but also another rival. I also love how Tsukasa approaches coaching because you can tell he cares for Inori and wants her to succeed. He might be the only adult in her life that has just believed in her up until this point. Under his guidance I think she has a good chance of winning her first competition.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
