English Dub Review: Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? (Bell Cranel) Desires

Overview:

Everyone has a breaking point, and Bell is approaching his limit. He has two choices left: he can either give in and accept Freya’s affections, or forge ahead as his true self.

Our Take:

We had a bit of a hiatus with this show due to production issues and the Japanese episodes were a bit behind so I wasn’t surprised that we got a delay. HiDive is usually pretty good about not delaying their dubs once they get going but this was a bit of an unavoidable situation. Now that we’re back though we are BACK baby.

Bell has found his resolve and now knows that he isn’t a part of the Freya familia. Do you know who helped him find that resolve? Ais freaking Wallenstein baby! I have been waiting for a Bell and Ais moment for the last two seasons and this one did not disappoint. She grabbed his hand and let him know that she didn’t know why but she felt like she should be training with him. Bell breaks down crying saying that if anyone was going to remember him he was glad it was her. I loved it!

We know that Freya and her familia aren’t to be messed with though and Bell has an uphill battle if he’s going to break free of their grasp. But Ais isn’t the only one who might be coming to his aid in the future, Hestia was able to break Hermes out of Freya’s spell as well. This is shaping up to be an awesome end to the season if things go how I think they might.
